Six words pretty well describe Barry Ward- "What you see , is who he is", period. Raised on a Kansas wheat farm just like his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was taught at an early age what was important in life. He has kept those values, morals, and beliefs: serve the Lord, take time for family and friends, respect the elderly, support this great country, honor the flag and our American soldiers. On a typical day around his ranch in central Colorado, one will find "the Bear" driving around in his pickup truck in his comfortable old blue jeans, cowboy boots, and favorite hat. His passions in life include being a western and gospel performer and sharing his original songs, wide open spaces, working cattle on horseback, down home cooking, and meeting new people. Barry takes his profession very seriously by devoting three hours a day to practicing. And being an avid hunter and outdoorsman, that is a sacrifice that is sometimes hard to make. But he understands that is what it takes to make dreams come true and to achieve his goals. So the next time you have a chance to say hello to Bear, please do, as he would love to visit with you! |
