Barry Ward was raised a fourth generation farmer and stockman in southwest Kansas. He now resides on a ranch outside of Elbert, Colorado.

Barry, or Bear, as he is known to many in the western and cowboy genre, is an accomplished composer, songwriter, and singer for anyone who loves the west or agricultural way of life. His music captures audiences relating to Cowboy Churches, Country, Gospel, Cowboy, Christian Country, and western music as he shares his experiences growing up and living in rural America.

Barry Ward writes his own inspirational songs about the land and the way of life on farm and ranching communities across America. He captures the spirit of the hardships, loves, and dreams of rural America in songs like Young Farmers and Ranchers, Drifting With the Western Wind, One More Ride, The Journey, and Melody's Arms.

Barry won Male Vocalist of the Year in the Western Division of the Country Gospel Music Association this year. He was earlier nominated by the Western Music Association for Male Performer of the Year.
